Plans Plans Plans
I am (Panitra) in the planning and applying stage for my exchange to Spain in September next year. It has been a long month as I was confused whether or not I should go to Italy or Spain. Also, with what organisation to go with. I am still debating between STS and SEANZ . They both offer a semester for Spain at around the same cost. If any of you guys reading this have opinions, please please contact me. I also went to talk to my school's careers counselors today. We talked about how going on this exchange and missing out on half of the year will affect my schooling as I want to study Medicine in the future. For people who is in the same situation as me, briefly, she said "It is fine to miss half of year 12 but when you come back it is up to you to do the catching up as year 12 is the foundation of year 13, however, universities only care about your level 3 (year 13) results". So basically, my school approved :) .Feel free to contact me and ask any questions.
It was my birthday not long ago so theres a photo of me with my Bday cake.
Let me tell you guys a bit of my self. I have been dreaming to go on an exchange since .. well lets just say years back. I believed that I couldn't go because of one barrier. This barrier obviously is the money. I do not come from a rich family at all. From day one, my family and I knew we could not afford for the program. It broke my heart and I thought I should just give up. But, it is not until recently that i realized why not go for it? what have you got to lose? Right? "Take the risk and cross the line rather than stare at the line all your life and not try" Anonymous. If we put our hearts to something and believe we can do it, there is no reason why a ridiculous barrier can hold us back. I am taking this chance/risk of fundraising for my exchange and applying for scholarships. Whatever the outcome, I promised myself that I will always be happy with myself. As long as we believe, we will find success. Perseverance and determination will pay off at the end. The climb is tiring but the view is worth it. I can sit here and give you endless inspirational talk but I don't think you guys will be too happy with me going on and on. So, i need to raise at least $8000. My total cost for my exchange is $11950.
I should go now but I am absolutely excited to begin this journey. First phase is applying, second phase is fundraising, third phase is Life off! - Panitra :) xx

A thousand miles begins with one single step
Hey guys, its Panitra Angkeeros. Stephanie and I live in Auckland, New Zealand. I am currently attending Westlake Girls High school. I am going on an exchange to Spain next year as I am passionate about the Hispanic culture and the beautiful language. Throughout this blog Stephanie and I will be posting updates on our fundraising attempts and our exchange procedures. If any of you guys are interested or are planning to go on an exchange, you are more than welcome to follow our blog and ride this journey with us. Feel free to ask us any questions. We are excited to begin this journey!!
Hey, my name is Stephanie. Panitra and I are both currently in year 11. I am planning on going on an exchange next year so hopefully things work out. I want to go on an exchange to France as I want to be able to immerse myself in a completely different culture to my own and hopefully be able to speak the French language and understand when other people speak it. As Panitra said above we are going to be posting updates on everything to do with our exchange experience from fundraising to exchange stuff and probably other random things. But most likely not. :)
If you guys want to know more about our exchange plans, feel free to email us or just leave a comment on any of the posts. Also, if you want to donate or help in any way, email us at steph.pan.exchangeadventure@gmail.com.
